When I first began my fitness transformation - I used to be a twig. Literally.
What’s even worse is that because I didn’t like the way I looked in the mirror...

I started my weight loss journey with Abraham at AFit on July 23, 2020. My sister Sara has been training with Abraham for 13 years. I called her crying one morning, that I had gained so much weight that I weighed as much as I did when I was pregnant 14 years ago. She convinced me to talk to Abraham. When I had my first zoom call with him, I talked about my health and weight history and that he can not expect me to exercise the way my sister does. Exercise is really not my thing. I was already walking 2-3 times a week with my friend, but that was it. Abraham sent me a plan to follow initially after sending him a photo. ( I never met with Abe in person, our whole time together was through phone calls and texts). I eat overall very healthy, but I enjoy food. I followed the plan he gave me for 2 weeks, then got very bored quickly thinking this was the way I had to eat forever. After a conversation with Abe, he explained to me how to use myfitness pal with his numbers of fat, protein and carb grams. I could eat as many times a day and whatever I wanted as long as it was within my daily numbers. At that point I was on a roll. I started taking an online pilates class at least once weekly and continued to walk with my friend. I lost anywhere from 1/2 -1 pound weekly, slow and steady was our motto. On Jan 24, 2021, 6 months from my start date, I hit my goal weight. It was a 20.5lb weight loss. I have been on my own now for a month and am maintaining my weight, continuing to follow what Abe has taught me. He knows nutrition, he is patient and there at all times for support and help. If you are serious and follow his lead you will succeed and he will be there for you the entire journey.

Abraham approached me about training when I was at a totally frustrated point in my life. I had been dieting my whole life and when I started to exercise, I had a trainer who actually caused an injury. I was ready to give up and was contemplating weight loss surgery. Abraham promised I would see results and that he would help make it a lifestyle change. I did quickly start losing weight plus I was learning how to eat properly for the first time. Saying an exercise was too difficult or that I could not do it was not an option since Abraham made me do push-ups every time I said it. Plus, I still had to do the exercise he wanted me to do in the first place. Instead, I put my time in and practiced all of the exercised he asked me to do. Everyone was amazed with my transformation but more importantly I gained the confidence that I was looking for. I am at a much healthier and happier place in my life now.

I had a 90 pound weight loss in less than a year. It was definitely not a quick fix plan since now almost 3 years later, I am maintaining my weight, the healthy eating habits and enjoy going to the gym. I have thought about working with a trainer again, but I do not think anyone would give me the personalized attention that Abraham gave me throughout the whole process. Even though I moved out of the area, Abraham is still there for me when I have questions or just need a little motivation.
